Several KRL Lines Swamped

The rain that fell evenly in Jakarta and surrounding areas since last night made an inundation at several KRL lines.
For now, all KRL from Bogor or Depok and Bekasi can serve the passengers to Jakarta Kota station
Based on PT. KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ)'s monitoring, until 6 A.M. there were some stations swamped. Several of them are in Kampung Bandan, Jakarta Kota, Tebet, and Kalideres-Rawa Buaya stations.
PT. KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ) Public Relation Manager, Eva Chairunisa, said the inundation at Tebet and Kalideres-Rawa Buaya stations did not give impact to KRL Jabodetabek operational. While inundation in Jakarta Kota station had interrupted signaling system until 05.45 A.M. but now is back to normal.

While in Kampung Bandan, the inundation between Angke-Kampung Bandan stations and Kampung Bandan-Kemayoran station right now still above rail lines thus KRL cannot pass yet.
Bekasi-Jakarta Kota KRL lines also jammed because of signaling system interruption, even though KRL can be operated on two lines.
For a while, KRL operation map, is managed as below.
KRL Bogor or Depok to Jatinegara, just can up to Duri station. While feeder KRL Manggarai-Duri is canceled to reduce train jamming in Duri station and density across Manggarai-Duri line. To serve passengers who use train across Jatinegara, Senen, to Kemayoran, PT. KCJ temporarily operates feeder KRL Jatinegara-Kemayoran.
" KRL jammed which caused by inundation also be seen around Sudimara rail thus for passenger's safety, in several spots, KRL must slow down," she added.
PT. KCJ apologized for KRL travel disruption because of high rainfall that caused inundation in several rail locations this morning. Later on, PT. KCJ will keep monitoring the condition on several locations and cooperating with related sides thus KRL travel can be back to normal if water level has receded.
"All passengers are encouraged to keep safe during the activities in KRL and stations. Do not force to ride train if already full. It is better to wait for the next train," she closed.
